When you purchase an RDI Triple Certified Diamond you may at anytime trade it up for a different diamond. You, the jeweler, will receive a credit of the original purchase price from RDI Diamonds to be used toward the upgrade purchase. All you need to do is spend $1.00 more than the original cost of the diamond.
For example, in 2005 your customer purchased a 1 ct. RB SI 1 H at $7,500 retail with a diamond cost of $4,200. In 2008 they walk back into your store looking to upgrade to a 2.0 ct. RB. RDI, upon return of the undamaged diamond and original certification, will credit you $4,200 toward the 2.0 ct RB purchase.
